2025年畢業典禮 董事長致詞 Board Chairman Benjamin Po Tao’s Address at the 2025 OCU Commencement

各位來賓、師長、家長以及畢業生們，大家好：

　　前幾天連日陰雨，今天終於放晴。在這特別的日子裡，首先要感謝各位貴賓與家長的蒞臨，尤其感謝立法院副院長江啟臣博士撥冗出席，能與大家齊聚一堂，共同慶祝今年的畢業典禮，別具意義。

　　今天，我要向所有家長致上最誠摯的恭喜，也向僑光的師長們表達衷心的感謝，感謝各位多年來對同學們的悉心教導與陪伴。對於即將踏出校門的畢業生，我想給予三點叮嚀與期勉：

一、謹記校訓「明誠立信」及發揚僑光精神
　　這是創辦人積中先先生親自訂立的校訓，期許同學們在做人做事上誠實守信、講求道義、懂得謙遜。同時，僑光精神「凡事全力以赴，永不放棄」更是創辦人辛勤辦學的最佳寫照。希望同學們無論是選擇繼續深造或投入職場，都能以此精神為指引，相信你們未來一定能有傑出的表現，成為母校引以為榮的校友。

二、鍛鍊體魄、保持愉快心情
　　人生短暫，什麼才是最重要的？不是金錢，也不是權力，而是健康。唯有擁有健康的身心，才能迎接各種挑戰，也讓家人安心。請同學們務必養成良好的生活習慣，保持積極樂觀的心態。

三、積極培養第二外語能力
　　在現今社會，想爭取更理想的工作或實習機會，擁有第二外語能力幾乎是基本條件，尤其是英語。希望大家能多聽、多看、多練習，不斷提升語言溝通能力，為自己的職涯發展增加優勢。

　　最後，衷心感謝全體師長多年來的用心教學，也再次恭喜家長們看到子女順利完成學業。祝福所有畢業生鵬程萬里、前程似錦，並祝在座各位身體健康、萬事如意！

Welcome to the 2025 Commencement Ceremony of Overseas Chinese University, 僑光科技大學.

We are honored to have Vice Premier Dr. Johnny Chiang (江啟臣副院長) as our keynote speaker today — this is his second visit to our university, and we deeply appreciate his presence. Dr. Chiang, a graduate of the University of South Carolina. Despite his busy schedule, he has taken the time to join us today, and we are truly grateful.

After many days of rain, today’s clear skies are a welcome sign — a symbol of hope for your future.

As you graduate, I offer three pieces of advice:

Be honest.

Honesty is the best policy, and the main reason our founder founded this university.

Persevere.

Do your job. Finish what you start. No matter how long it takes, never give up.

That is the spirit of OCU — a spirit built over 10 years of hard work and sacrifice by our founder. This year, we celebrate OCU’s 61st anniversary. Carry the OCU spirit with you. Do your best. Persevere. And never give up.
